So I had to go back to the Tokyo City Flea Market to make sure that my first visit was not just a lucky day. Well, it’s now either of two things: it wasn’t just a lucky day and there is a continuous flow of goodies every weekend, or it was a second lucky day and I’ll have to go back a third time to make sure.
Some of vintage treasures like this white acrylic beads necklace (probably from the 80’s) look rather kitsch at first sight, but I’m sure that when taken out of their kitsch context they are going to make for very stylish new jewelry.
You know my love for the tarnished. This blackened chain is going to be a challenge though, let’s see how far I can push it. Not everything I come home with can be used but I’m trying to find the best bits in every piece and match them with other best bits.
This one is my favourite piece so far, it’s absolutely perfect and very versatile. In fact yesterday I made a long necklace with one unit of it, pairing it with the beautiful blue Larimar gemstones I found in Kobe. You can look forward to it!
Oh, I couldn’t wait, I had to make myself a pair of long brass dangle earrings and loving them! They are so light I completely forget that I am wearing them when I do. I need to make more of those for you chouchous.
À bientôt mes chouchous!
